Avon Beach: Christchurch.
The beach overlooks the Needles and Isle of Wight. & is approximately 1/4 of a mile long and is a mixture of sand with some stone,and is good for making those sand castles. The Avon Beach cafe which is open every day (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day) serves breakfasts, homemade meals or just try the hot chocolate with whipped cream, flaked chocolate and marshmallows.

Mudeford Quay: Lovely old quay with the original fishermen’s cottages. Fishing boats leave from here daily and the lobster pots are piled up ready to go. There is a fresh fish stall to buy the local catch, an old smugglers pub, a cafe & lightboat station. The quay is a favourite with children for crab fishing on lines sold in the quay shop. You can also catch the ferry over to Mudeford Beach on Heigestberry Head, also available are sea pleasure boat cruises or mackerel fishing trips.

The Mudeford Ferry operates beetween Mudeford Quay and the Beach at Mudeford Sandbank on Hengistbury Head approximately every 12 minutes from Easter to late October, weather permitting. Regular pleasure cruises which operate in good weather all year. Special 3 hour cruises to watch August Bournemouth Air Festival.

The clubhouse consists of a kitchen, changing rooms and showers and use of the patio area overlooking Friar's Cliff and Avon Beach.
