New Forest Meddlars: Mixed Morris dance side, formed in 1990 and based in Lyndhurst, in the New Forest. The name is derived from the medlar tree, whose fruits are eaten when they are just turning rotten (a comment on our dancing?), and our habit of 'meddling' in all traditions of Morris. The New Forest Meddlers meet most Tuesday evenings in Lyndhurst during the winter months to practice and to learn new dances. New musicians and dancers are always welcome if you have no previous experience of dancing necessary. Click weblink for current programme of events.

The Hampshire Ornithological Society records and publishes information about wild birds in the county of Hampshire. There is an outdoor meeting every week, led by a knowledgeable and experienced birdwatcher, and occasional indoor meetings in the winter. Although the group covers all Hampshire, several walks are in the New Forest & nearby. New members welcome.

New Forest Group of the Ramblers: Founded 1969. Walkers with the Group enjoy exploring the area from West Dorset to East Hampshire - roughly a 80 km/50 mile radius from New Milton. Members get full walk details three times a year showing walk length, outline route, meeting point, time to go, and a leader/contact phone number. Walks are on a 'turn up and go' basis. Walks take place at weekends and on Wednesdays and alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year.

Wessex Walkers: Tel: 07875 227959 | A walking group based in the New Forest for walkers in their 20’s – 40’s of any walking ability. The club is voluntary run by the members and are a part of the Ramblers Association. They welcome all new members to the group. Walks are held most weekends in the New Forest, Hampshire & Dorset, also there are regular socials including bbq’s, meals and trips to the cinema. There also away trips where they go walking in another part of the country and camp or stay in hostels. This friendly group always welcomes new members.

Flying days are held on second and fourth Sundays of each month, location for the former varies, whilst the latter is held at Stony Cross in the New Forest. Solent Kite Flyers was formed in 1994 to provide a club for kite flyers in Southern Hampshire. The club organises the Southampton Kite Festival which is held in 3rd Weekend of June. New members & families always welcome.

Solent Radio Controlled Model Boat Club & Solent Radio Controlled Model Yacht Club | Tel: 07887 967887
The club was founded in 1978 & has its sailing waters at Setley Pond, located in the New Forest. The Yachting Section meets at the lake on Tuesday and Friday Mornings at 10am and the Model Boat Scale Section meets on Thursday and Sunday mornings at 10am, and a very friendly welcome is extended to all visitors. Anyone interested in starting the hobby or joining the club is welcome to come along to the lake on a club morning, but please note that there is usually a waiting list.

New Forest Scottish Country Dancers: Meetings at 7.45 pm on Wednesday evenings at Methodist Church Hall, Brockenhurst. Country Dancing is the traditional ballroom dancing of Scotland. Country dances are danced with partners in sets of two or more couples doing a variety of formations. The dances vary in tempo, including lively jigs, hornpipes and reels, and the slower, elegant strathspeys. New members welcome, anyone of any age. Click weblink for display team programme.

Established in 1974. The clubs main focus is time trialing & stage events in the New Forest on Tuesday evenings from mid April until end of August. Various other cycling activities. Pub rides & social events throught the year.

INew Forest Hospital Radio is the Entertainment Service for The Lymington New Forest Hospital. The Radio is staffed entirely by volunteers from the community. If you are interested in radio presenting, or would like to join our friendly band of ward collectors then contact us, full training will be given, all are welcome.

New Forest Model Railway Society: | Tel: 01425 673668
Meeting every Tuesday from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm at Brockenhurst Village Hall in Highwood Road off Sway Road. We model in 3 gauges, N, OO and O and have 7 layouts being continually modified and improved. We hold 2 public events during the year, the Annual Exhibition in May and the Club Open Day at the end of November / beginning of December. The Exhibition is an opportunity for us to bring top class layouts to the area and have them exhibit for 2 days. The Open Day is more about showing the work of the Club and other invited local layouts.

The New Forest Fuchsia Society: Lyndhurst Community Centre, High Street, Lyndhurst.
Founded in 1973 by a group of enthusiasts. Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month (except December) at the Lyndhurst Community Centre, Main Car Park, Lyndhurst - 7.30pm. A varied programme of talks, demonstrations, events, etc. on Fuchsias and all aspects of gardening, with time being set aside each month for discussion of fuchsia topics. The Annual Show with almost 40 classes is considered to be the 'shop window' of the Society's calendar.

New Forest Art Society: Lyndhurst Community Centre.
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm. The New Forest Art Society is one of the leading Art Societies in the New Forest. It is a non profit making society that depends on the subscriptions, and the enthusiasm, generosity and hard work of its members. Its main objective is to promote the interests of its members in painting and the kindred arts. The society normally operates in, or around, Lyndhurst but members come from all parts of Hampshire.
