The Club was founded by Captain G.J.F. Adams in 1928. The Club's fleet of Support Boats consists of four RIBs and one diesel engine launch. The overall membership of the Club is approximately 1500. Between them, Members sail some 585 boats of different classes consisting of 154 Scows, 17 Wayfarers, 16 Lasers, 35 Cruisers, 28 Cadets, 28 Mirrors and 265 other sailng craft.

Hurst Castle Sailing Club is a small but lively and friendly club where the emphasis is on enjoyment rather than competition. The Club caters for both Dinghy and Yacht sailors. There are over forty cruising members of the club. The most common dinghy sailed is the Scow. There are also Mirrors, Wayfarers, & a variety of other dinghies, including Gulls, Skippers, Wanderers, & Lasers. Visitors are welcome to see and hear more about the facilities and activities at the club coffee mornings at 10:30 on Tuesdays.

RLYC was founded in 1922, their objective is to be "Successful on the water, friendly and welcoming ashore". The club has members of all skills & ages, and are proud to have members who represented their country in the GBR Team at the Olympics. The Lymington Optimists: The Royal Lymington Yacht Club hosts the Gold and Silver Fleets, and the Salterns Sailing Club hosts the Bronze Fleet. | The club provides round training and coaching for Optimist sailors aged from 7 to 15 years old who can already sail an Optimist and want to learn to race or improve their existing racing skills. The organisation is run by volunteers, and look to anyone joining to be prepared to help out where they can. They encourage families to join the club where possible, it is through these members that they can offer the programmes and training that takes place & each session needs an adult club member to oversee the event.

LTSC is a family orientated Sailing Club which provides a wide range of Social, Sailing and Information Services to its members. Salterns Sailing Club: Off Maiden Lane, Lymington.
The Salterns is a sailing club for children where they can learn to enjoy sailing and gain experience in organisation and administration of a sailing club. The sailing area is an 8 acres pond, created from an old saltpan. The depth is about one metre, except in one corner where it is about 2 metres. The Club is entirely run by volunteers. Boats sailed: British Moths, Optimists and Scows.

The SCRA was founded in 1895 and its objective is to promote the interests of yacht cruising and racing in the Solent. The membership includes 70 clubs, 40 classes and over 500 individual members and is open to all who are interested.

Lymington Amtaeur Rowing Club was established in 1881. The clubhouse can be found on the corner of Quay Road in Lymington. The club has always promoted the fun & social side of the sport as well as the serious aspect of competitive rowing.
