Windsurfing Milford on Sea: Milford beach is understated & doesn't appear to get windsurfed too often. In the opinion of 'Big Salty' it performs really well when other beaches switch off, plus it gets a good dose of swell due to it's SSW orientation. For those interested in wave sailing, it's swell size will be comparable to Southbourne although it is much less powerful size for size.

Kite Surfing Keyhaven Marshes: On windy days you can see kiteboarders on the lakeside laggon on the north side of Hurst Spit. Mark Shinn a former pupil of Milford Primary School, won two Kitesurfing World titles in 2002 when he won the Professional Kiteboard Riders' Association and the 2002 Kiteboard Pro World Tour. Kiteboarding is also sometimes known as kitesurfng or wind boarding.

Situated in Christchurch with the nearby Highcliffe Sailing Club being the watersports training camp location for the 2012 Olympics. Whether you are into boardsailing & are a windsurfer, or not, the reasonably priced membership entitles you to full use of the clubhouse which sits at the top of Steamer Point. The clubhouse consists of a kitchen, changing rooms and showers and use of the patio area overlooking Friar's Cliff and Avon Beach.

Europe’s first artificial surf reef. The surf reef acts as a ramp, which pushes the waves upwards, this doubles their size and improves their quality for surfers. Beach Fishing: Milford on Sea is great for beach fishing & is located at the start of the Solent with fine views of the Isle of Wight & the Needles. Species caught include: sizeable bream and sea bass which run close, rays, whiting, pollock, smuts, occasional fine sole & turbot. Plus all the usual suspects; dog fish, pout etc. Night fishing is probably most productive. The main fishing spots are locally known as 'The White House', 'Needles Eye Cafe', 'Milford on Sea Beach', 'Paddys Gap', 'Hurst Shingle Bank' & ‘Hurst Spit’.

Lake Fishing: The lake is situated in a quiet and peaceful location on the boundary of Braxton Farm and the Old Parkland of Everton Grange. There are two lakes, the largest of which is stocked with several species of Carp and Tench. The smaller lake is mainly for Tench fishing. The lake is widely regarded as one of the best fisheries in Southern England. Everton Grange Lake is available on a day ticket. The lake is open seven days a week from 6am until sunset.
